Dr. Fanlei Hu is currently working as associate professor in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, Peking University People’s Hospital, China. He received his Bachelor Degree in Clinical Medicine from Shandong First Medical University (2006), and PhD Degree in Immunology from Peking University (2011). After that, he joined Peking University People’s Hospital as a research scientist. He has long been focusing on the study of the pathogenesis mechanism, immune diagnosis and therapy of autoimmune diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis (RA), achieving series of innovative findings with potential theoretical significance and clinical application value. He has published 20 peer reviewed papers as first/corresponding author in recent 5 years in reputed journals, including Nature Communications, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Journal of Autoimmunity, Journal of Immunology, European Journal of Immunology, et al (H-index: 17). He has applied and been authorized 5 invention patents and more than 10 research grants. He has attended many international and domestic scientific conferences, and given more than 20 plenary talks. He has been awarded many scientific prizes, including Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award, Chinese Immunology Academic Prize-Young Scholar Award, and so forth. He is also serving as the Section Editor of Endocrine Metabolic & Immune Disorders-Drug Targets as well as the editorial board member of Frontiers in Immunology and Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine.
