2018 年 12 月 12 日，领星生物科技（上海）有限公司宣布完成由挚信资本领投，General Oriental 和金浦健康基金跟投的 3000 万美金 A+轮融资。
领星生物的总部位于上海张江科技园区，在上海张江药谷和江苏启东分别拥有独立的实验室和医学检验所，并与北京大学生命科学华东产业研究院共建了精准医学实验室。其管理团队由来自北京大学、美国哈佛大学、美国加州大学、中国科学院、复旦大学等国内外著名高校的资深管理人员组成。
自成立以来，领星一直致力于为中国的肿瘤患者和医生提供个性化精准医疗的临床解决方案及面向全球资源的对接服务，截至目前已经为国内近万名患者提供了精准医疗服务。领星还建立了中国最大规模的临床全外显子组数据库，通过整合多源异构医疗数据，利用人工智能等相关技术，前瞻性地整合肿瘤基因组数据和每位患者完整的临床路径，打造「基因+临床」精准医疗数据库，并提供相应的临床决策建议，为精准医疗实施和精准医疗研发服务，积极推进肿瘤精准医疗发展。
对于此次融资，领星创始人、总裁兼首席执行官许强博士表示将在巩固现有优势的基础上，在肿瘤精准医学领域更好地为国内临床医生和患者提供国际上新的治疗方式、知识和经验，解决肿瘤精准医疗全过程中的需求。
领星从创立之初即同与哈佛大学麻省总医院合作的上海嘉会国际医院以及《新英格兰医学杂志》独家授权的中文数字媒体《NEJM 医学前沿》共同组成嘉信医疗，联手打造一体化的医疗服务生态系统，以实现技术和服务在真正的医疗环节中落地。未来，领星也将继续把精准医疗的结果真正落实到临床，帮助中国临床医生更好地治疗中国肿瘤患者，最终使更多的肿瘤患者获益。
